Thank you for your interest in the Non Linear course.
About the opportunity:
Non Linear is a free, full time, 12 week intensive training course providing young Londoners who are currently under-represented in the sector with a dynamic pathway into the creative industries. Non Linear is designed to equip you with the ability to think differently, to use AI to enhance your creativity not detract from it.
Non Linear aims to be the ultimate creativity bootcamp, to turbocharge your imagination to build resilience, to nurture a strong sense of belief in your own creative abilities and skills. A true catalyst for a career in the creative industries.
Non Linear is a ground breaking partnership between the creative industry businesses such as Universal Music, Frieze and MVF, the University of the Arts, the London Boroughs of Camden, Hackney and Islington and the award winning education charity A New Direction.
Key dates
- Deadline to express an interest in the opportunity - Wednesday 29 October 2025.
- Assessment day that will take place at the Good Growth Hub - 05 November 2025.
- Course launch in 17 November 2025
How to apply
You will need to be prepared to say why you would like to be considered for the opportunity through a series of questions. Please read over the sub-sections to each question which provide further clarification for what we are looking for. We aren't looking for those with the best grades or those with prior experience, rather we are looking for people who are curious, want to put themselves forward, and who are eager to learn.
Along with the set questions, please upload a CV (which gives us a further picture for who you are) and throughout there are options in the form to upload answers to your application questions in video or audio format.
Please submit by Wednesday 29 of October at 5pm.
Following application deadline day - our team will look through applications and invite those we feel are most suited to benefit for the course to an assessment day. The assessment morning/afternoon is an opportunity for both us and you to find out more about the programme, and to meet other potential applicants.
There will be teamwork excerises and an individual 10-minute interview with the team. The assessment days give us the chance to select the final group of participants. Please be reassured that these are designed to be enjoyable, fun and a great way to meet new people.
Please let us know if you would like this form in a different format by contacting us at goodgrowthhub@anewdirection.org.uk
Eligibility
To be eligible for the opportunity you must be a resident in one of the following London boroughs (Hackney, Islington or Camden). We are looking for people aged 18-35.
