Driver Management Associate Job Description

Role Overview We are looking for a dedicated and committed Driver Engagement Associate, responsible for managing and increasing the driver pool performance. This includes working directly with drivers as well as businessʼ to ensure that HIVED maintains and excels its high delivery standards. This is an incredible opportunity to join an inclusive team that values transparency and autonomy. You would be having a direct impact on HIVEDs drivers, supporting our growing team to feel consistently engaged, motivated, and appreciated.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience in a customer-facing role or logistics, and has experience managing a team and communicating with various stakeholders. Has an interest in increasing performance and efficiency. They have strong communication skills and are comfortable giving constructive feedback. They are able to analyse issues and use problem-solving skills to implement an efficient solution. They will need to be adaptable to change and thrive in a fast- paced environment.
This role is in-person, based at our depot in Woolwich and will require regular weekend work.
Responsibilities
· Be responsible for engaging with a large volume of drivers to maintain quality in the HIVED service
· Conduct regular performance check-ins with drivers in person, via email and via phone. Provide constructive feedback and support to optimise performance
· Account manage Delivery Service Partners to meet HIVED Standards and be the point of contact.
· Manage and resolve inbound driver queries promptly, to boost team efficiency
· Make critical decisions based on performance data which includes disciplinary action such as warning and off-boarding drivers
· Collaborate with the wider operations team including fleet, network and live operations as well as external stakeholders.
· Implement improvements based on the continuous feedback gathered from interactions with drivers.

- Role: Business Development Associate (Entry-level).
- Salary: £31,000
- Industry Knowledge: Logistics or performance management (focused on depot operations).
- Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse driver performance using data.
- Effective communication with team members.
- Location: Based in Silvertown.
- Work Hours:
- Total: 45 hours/week (includes a 5-hour shift on weekends). Working hours will be 8am to 6pm on weekdays (4 days) and 11-4pm on weekends (1 day).
- Day shifts only (no night work).
- Weekend requirement: Either Saturday or Sunday; will become specific when staffing increases.
- Includes a 1-hour break per shift.
- Environment: Fast-paced.
